Kendrick House, built in 1849, is the oldest standing home in Jasper County, Missouri, and one of very few to survive the widespread burnings during the Civil War.

 

It was the home to the Kendrick-Janney family for more than a 130 years, and was the site of Civil War encampments, served as a field hospital multiple times, among other compelling events.

Paranormal Science Lab and Kendrick House present an evening of history and paranormal activity with proceeds benefitting preservation of Kendrick House.

The Olivia Apartments, built in 1906 as an elegant apartment house in the booming mining town of Joplin, with luxuries few dreamed of and fewer could enjoy.  Occupied for 100 years it has seen great tragedy and joy.

 


 

 

It was the home to leading citizens of Joplin in the first half of the 20th century, was touched by gangsters and outlaws, and the site of a tragic death of 20 year old Marvin Reynolds in 1908.

 

Paranormal Science Lab and The Olivia present an evening exploring elegant history and paranormal experiences.
