Kendrick
House, built in 1849, is the oldest standing home in Jasper County, Missouri,
and one of very few to survive the widespread burnings during the Civil War.
It was the home to the Kendrick-Janney family for
more than a 130 years, and was the site of Civil War encampments, served as a
field hospital multiple times, among other compelling events.
Paranormal
Science Lab and Kendrick House present an evening of history and paranormal activity
with proceeds benefitting preservation of Kendrick House.

It was the home to leading citizens
of Joplin in the first half of the 20th century, was touched by
gangsters and outlaws, and the site of a tragic death of 20 year old Marvin
Reynolds in 1908.
